Schedules General Info

A North Vancouver Recreation Commission fitness membership or drop-in fee is required to use our weight rooms or to attend any fitness class, public skate session, public swim session, drop-in sports or Trail Trekkers event. Please note over the Thanksgiving Holiday we will have some modified hours of operation, check out the schedule for these updates.

The opening hours for each of our facility's can be found on each facility's page.

Childminding

Let us take care of your babies, toddlers and preschoolers while you take a class at Harry Jerome, John Braithwaite, Parkgate, Ron Andrews and William Griffin Recreation Community Centres. Pay our low childminding fee either when you drop-in or pre-purchase a book of tickets.

Drop-In Sports

Discover the many ways you can drop-in to our facilities and get active. Use our gyms, racquet courts and climbing wall to keep fit year-round. Visit one of our 4 gyms and take part in some badminton, basketball, soccer or volleyball during specific gym times. Join a game of men's floor hockey, climb the wall at Parkgate Community Centre, ride the rails at one of 5 skateboard parks, or book a court for some squash, racquetball or table tennis.

Fitness Classes

Choose from over 150 fitness classes offered every week at the North Vancouver Recreation Commission. Use our online Schedule Builder to create a printable customized plan of the classes you want to take. Select your preferred locations, types of classes, levels and days/times that work best for you. Skating

Want to get on the ice? North Shore Ice Sports, Harry Jerome and Karen Magnussen Community Centres offer public access to their arenas at specific times. Check out when you can join a public or family skate session, get in a game of shinny or noon-hour hockey, or connect with other adults and 55+ for some traditional ice skating.

Swimming

Make a splash in our 4 pools during public swim sessions. Focus on lengths during lane swim times. Find out when your local pool will be closed for regular maintenance.

Trail Trekkers

Join us Wednesday mornings, Wednesday evenings and Friday mornings for planned walks and hikes. Check out our destinations, the level of difficulty (easy to intermediate +), and where and when to meet for the start of the trek. Get to connect with other trekkers by carpooling to trails outside your urban community.

Weight Rooms

Want to know when you can lift weights and use our cardio and resistance machines? Learn when our 9 weight rooms at 6 locations are open, where you can book an orientation, when and where we reserve equipment for circuit training sessions, and when we hold supervised rehab and supervised teen times.
