M.A.R.S.®
The Making All Recreation and Sport Safe Project (M.A.R.S®) is dedicated to providing safe recreation and sport in North Vancouver. Project participants are committed to providing a safe and positive environment where all participants can enjoy sport and physical activity in facilities where the values of participation, teamwork, safety and fair play are upheld. Red Cross RespectED training sessions are offered to community sport groups to educate volunteers, officials, coaches, administrators and board members on how to prevent abuse and harassment in sport and recreation. This project is sponsored by the Canadian Parks and Recreation Association, with support from North Vancouver City and District Council, the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority (North Shore Branch), School District #44, and the RCMP.
