Renaissance Drawing 1 Tuesday Parkgate This exciting hands-on workshop compliments the Classical Drawing program at JBCC. Each student makes for themselves home-made charcoals, hand-carved feather quills, and homemade inks according to medieval recipes. After that, you will create corresponding masterworks of the
great Renaissance artists like Raphael, Botticelli, Michelangelo and others.

Renaissance Drawing 2 Tuesday Parkgate Join part 2 of our ‘old Renaissance masters’ drawing workshops. In this program each student makes for himself home-made drawing materials and metal-point and silverpoint grounds and creates corresponding masterworks of the great renaissance artists like da Vinci, Raphael, Botticelli and others. The student is introduced to the original concept of chiaroscuro drawing using metal point. eReg
Small Group Training Monday Karen Magnussen One night a week join a group of 4-6 other fitness enthusiasts and be put through a full body core-centric workout. Each session will focus on a different muscle /joint group. Exercises can be scaled to any fitness level but you have to push to see results. Water Running Sunday William Griffin This class focuses on proper running dynamics in the water while enhancing the cardiovascular system, improving muscular endurance, strength, power and speed. Attention will also be given to core stability and overall muscular balance. This class will help to improve your running performance both in and out of the water. eReg
Water Safety Instructor Course Monday Karen Magnussen This course certifies candidates to instruct the Red Cross Water Safety Program. Candidates are taught class management, teaching, evaluation, safety supervision, leadership, communication, administration and physical abilities. Tuesday Parkgate Get ooey and gooey while creating some really cool stuff. We can make aliens, robots, hats, armour, jewellery, piñatas, treasure boxes and more. You name it; we can make it out of Paper Mache! You will only be limited by your imagination. eReg
Art Retreat: MULTI-MEDIA 8-12yrs Saturday Memorial This program is for the young artist who would love to create some fabulous masterpieces!
Each session will explore a different medium, such as plaster sculpting on canvas, acrylic painting on burlap with felt, mask making, watercolour with pen & ink and a handmade Mexican clay sun.

DRAWING with mixed media 8-12yrs Saturday Memorial Improve your drawing skills by learning a variety of fine art techniques including perspective, light and shadow and texture. Our drawings will be enhanced with washes of watercolour or other materials such as charcoal, pencil crayons and pastels. eReg
Fitness Kickboxing 14yrs & up Monday William Griffin A fun filled hour of punching, and sweating you way to improved fitness! eReg
Floorball Thursday Delbrook A skill-focused and safe evolution of floor hockey, Floorball is fast-paced, high scoring and played with highly advanced carbon fibre sticks. Rules limit both aggressive physical play and stick contact. Floorball action is intense, features constant end-to-end rushes, allows for few stoppages in play and can be played by almost anyone, regardless of age, size or gender. Play the Sport that Hockey Canada utilizes in their own Skills Academies. Floorball is also slated to be an Olympic Sport and Canada has an up and coming National Team development program with roots right here in North Vancouver.
