Special Events Volunteer
Providing Support at North Vancouver Events
The North Vancouver Recreation Commission sponsors and supports many of the special events that happen year-round in North Vancouver. From craft fairs and parades to Playcard patrol, volunteers at special events are our enthusiastic "ambassadors for play". We are always interested in working with energetic, creative volunteers to make every event special. So come join us for face painting, childminding and craft activities.
Special Event volunteers must be friendly and approachable to both children and adults. Artistic ability not essential, but handy! Dependability and punctuality required. Volunteers are responsible for their own transportation to and from events.
Playcard Patrol positions are located at various parks and event locations across the North Shore. Ideal candidates will be:
- Able to attend a minimum of 5 summer events (most events are Friday evenings, Saturdays or Sundays during June, July and August.)
- Available for a Playcard Patrol training session.
