Aquatics Volunteer Program

Providing Support in the Pool

The four North Vancouver recCommission indoor pools are busy places! There's something going on all the time—from lessons (learn-to-swim, diving, synchronized, water polo) and fitness classes (aquacize, deep water, therapeutic) to public swims and special events. Aquatic volunteer opportunities are available at the William Griffin, Harry Jerome and Ron Andrews Centres, as well as at the Karen Magnussen Wave Pool.

Ideal candidates include anyone interested in gaining experience supporting children in swim lessons or assisting in swimming lesson instruction. All Aquatics volunteers must have a minimum of their Bronze Cross and AquaLeader. National Lifeguard Service (NLS) and WSI certifications are preferred.

Call Meh at 604-983-6417 to find out how you can get involved.
