Full Day Daycamps - Does your child need some extra help?
Volunteer Support if you child requires a minimum level of support
Our volunteers are generally between the ages of 14-16 and do not have any specific training in working with children with specific needs. They are intended to be a one on one friend to assist. If this description fits your child's needs please call Meh at 604-983-6417 for more information.
Leader Support if your child requires 1:1 leader support while participating in a full day daycamp program
- Our Daycamp Support Leader is a post Secondary student who has experience working with people with disabilities.
- Children who require specialized support or personal care do not qualify for this service
- All participants are required to complete and return a questionnaire and meet with the Access Programmer and Support Leader prior to the start of daycamp.
Please call Jackie Hamm, Recreation Access Programmer at 604-982-8331.
Please note that you are eligible for a maximum of two weeks combined support from either or both of the above services. We cannot guarantee support. Support is based on the resources available and on a first come first serve basis.
In order to create an inclusive environment for all campers, we request that those children participating in a camp accompanied by their own support person to please contact Jackie Hamm, Recreation Access Programmer, prior to the start of camp.
Jackie may be reached by calling 604-982-8331 or by email.
